{"id":133,"date":"2016-09-21T02:00:39","date_gmt":"2016-09-21T02:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/robschumaker.com\/recentnews\/?p=133"},"modified":"2020-05-13T01:34:38","modified_gmt":"2020-05-13T01:34:38","slug":"present-of-the-international-information-management-association-iima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/robschumaker.com\/recentnews\/2016\/09\/21\/present-of-the-international-information-management-association-iima\/","title":{"rendered":"President of the International Information Management Association (IIMA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Schumaker was elected as President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iima.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Information Management Association<\/a> (IIMA) for the 2016-2017 term.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe International Information Management Association was founded in 1989, with the mission to provide a unique blend of high-quality academic research combined with social interaction.<\/p>\n<p>\nAs an example of that commitment to academic research, IIMA publishes the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iima.org\/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&#038;view=section&#038;id=11&#038;Itemid=77\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Journal of International Technology and Information Management<\/a> (JITIM), a double blind reviewed publication; as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iima.org\/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&#038;view=section&#038;id=10&#038;Itemid=68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Communications of the IIMA<\/a> (CIIMA) a double blind reviewed publication.  Each are published on a quarterly basis.  Manuscripts are solicited year round from all interested scholars and practitioners. All journals are listed in Cabell&#8217;s Publishing Directories of Academic Journals.  All Journals are indexed and available in the following products:  ProQuest, ABI, PQCentral, Science, TECH, Technology and EBSCO Host.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe conference combines academic excellence and friendly interaction to create a collegial atmosphere that is usually missing from other conferences.
